Millikin University breaks ground on new University Commons (Millikin University)

(Source: Millikin University) Millikin University officially broke ground on its new University Commons during a ceremony held on Nov. 6 outside Staley Library. Construction on the 87,000-square-foot facility is expected to be in full swing by early 2016 and completed prior to the start of the fall 2017 semester. With the exception of Shilling Hall, an original Millikin structure erected in 1902, the new University Commons is the largest building project in university history in terms of square footage.
